The url, taken from Macbeth’s soliloquy (Act 1, Scene 7) denotes something of the unyielding quality of life, its lack of permanence.  I used to write in response to life’s transience, believing that through writing I could gain a foothold in the world and subsequently act meaningfully in it.  Upon realizing that writing provides (me) no such certainty, I shied away from the act–until I realized that the exploratory nature of writing is itself an asset worth showcasing, and then, in a form easily digestible–that is, in blogform.   Rather than indulge in long and oppressive jeremiads, I came to understand that "if it were done, then ’twere well it were done quickly."
